Senior Research Analyst
Charlie Eidson is a senior research analyst for First Light, playing a significant role in the execution of the firm’s investment processes by identifying and analyzing prospective and existing portfolio investments. His focus areas include: Life Science Tools and Services, Diagnostic Tools and Services, Health Care Information Technology, and Medical Devices and Equipment.
Since 2016, Eidson has served in various roles across the fields of health care and investments. Before joining First Light, he was a health care investment banking associate for Raymond James & Associates. Prior to this position, Eidson was the director of investor relations and corporate development for NeoGenomics, Inc., a leader in oncology testing and a long-time holding within the First Light portfolio. He also was an equity research analyst on the health care team at Craig-Hallum Capital Group where he focused on small- and mid-cap companies within the areas of health care information technology, specialty pharmaceuticals/generics and medical devices.
Eidson earned a bachelor of science degree in business from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. He also is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with an inactive status and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) designation.
